Safe Haven Project

The "Safe Haven Law" was written to protect and save the innocent.
We need to let people know where to go and what to do.

Help us do that TODAY.

You haven't told anyone...No one knows your pregnant...You're scared...You can't take care of your baby...What are you going to do when the baby comes?

An unwanted pregnancy can be traumatic and overwhelming, causing feelings of shame, guilt or isolation.  These feelings could lead to irrational thoughts or acts such as unsafely abandoning your baby.  STOP...

If this is you or anyone you know...there are alternatives

If you bring your baby (up to 7 days old) to the Baby Safe Haven unharmed:

  • Your baby will be taken care of - with medical care and a home.

  • You will not have to answer any questions - your secret will be safe.

  • You will be offered medical care and counseling.

No attempt whatsoever will be made to contact you. No crime will have been committed. This is a TRULY safe process.

By 2003-MAR-11, 42 states had enacted "safe haven" laws which permit a parent to abandon a newborn baby, at a specified location. This may be a hospital, firehouse, or police station.

The intent of the law was to save the lives of newborns whose mothers had concealed their pregnancy, given birth alone, and then discarding the newborn in a hazardous location -- in a trash can, dumpster, park, forest, canal, church, carwash, somebody's front door, etc.
